Origami has become a craze in our house — we have bagfuls of fish, oblong boxes, foxes and penguins. Ezra made these large penguins protecting their egg, and the box stand for the egg.
And last week he made this tiny penguin family at camp after he heard that there are new baby penguins at the Aquarium.
Coincidentally, the boys have been thinking about ways to make money lately, and these two things merged one day: Origami for sale on the front steps.
They sorted out their paper and weighted it down with rocks.
Then they set out their instructions and proceeded to fold.
They filled the boxes with rocks, too.
Sadly, there were no takers that afternoon. But they did receive an order by mail.
Of course, they have yet to actually fulfill the order (follow through is not a strong suit), but I’m hopeful it will happen soon.
UPDATE!
Order fulfilled and in the mail today!
