Sunday — our last road trip day — started with an early morning visit from the dinosaurs. Still funny after all these years.
After breakfast at the hotel, we packed up and went to Bob and Vanessa’s, where we spent a couple of hours getting a bunch of bikes ready and in/on the cars for a bike ride at the beach. Along with the four of us and Bob, Vanessa and Thomas, we were joined by Reba and Michelle and Michael.
It was another glorious day.
We rode along the Strand into Manhattan Beach and when we stopped Ezra couldn’t wait to dig in the sand.
We got some lunch …
… and then rode back, stopping at this swing set at Ezra’s request.
I knew we had a long drive ahead of us but I still didn’t want to leave the beach.
But we finally did, packing up the bikes again and get back on the road.
It was after midnight when we finally got home, both kids already asleep and grownups not far behind.
